Tri-State Military Collectors Club hosts 2013 Military & Arms Show

The Evansville Military Collectors Club (EMCC) invites the public to attend the Fall 2013 Military & Arms Collectors Show.

The even is being held November 22 - 24, at the Evansville National Guard Armory, located at 3300 East Division Street, off the Lloyd Expressway.

The show will feature museum-quality displays, a large inventory of items for sale or trade, along with antique, collectible and modern firearms.

Collectors will sell, buy and trade a wide variety of military items, including uniforms, insignia, medals, unit patches, field equipment, helmets, weapons, flags, photos, and documents, from both U.S. and foreign nations' military forces. Veterans or family members with military items or war-time relics are encouraged to bring them to the show, for identification, appraisal or sale.

The Show is open to the public and all ages are welcome.

Admission is $5.00 per person. Children 14 and under are free.

Show hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.on Saturday, Nov. 23rd, and 8:00a.m. till 1:00p.m.on Sunday, Nov. 24th

Set-Up for table holders is 4:00pm till 8:00pm, Friday, Nov.22nd.

Tables are still available for reservation at a cost of $40 per table.

Featured exhibit for the show will be the complete Knight Collection of Pearl Harbor artifacts. Preserving the history of the Japanese attack on December 7, 1941, the Knight Collection is one of the largest assortments of Pearl Harbor relics in private hands, exhibiting over forty individual documented artifacts directly related to the attack, including pieces of Japanese aircraft, parts from ships, and many personal items of survivors.

Newly acquired items include personal items belonging to Admiral Joel Bunkley, commander of the battleship USS California, as well as items from survivors of the USS Phoenix, USS West Virginia, and medical personnel of the hospital ship USS Solace at the time of the attack.
