Employees at an Evansville plastics plant may go on strike if they don't reach a new contract agreement.
On Sunday, Crescent Plastics proposed a new contract with Local Lodge 153, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
The Union Laborers refused the contract.
They say the healthcare and wage cuts, along with a pension freeze, were unfair.
14 News spoke to a Crescent Plastics employee who said there's no reason the new contract can't reflect the expired one.
"I would like to see us actually get back into bargaining for a viable contract that people can honestly live off of it," said Kelly Terry. "I don't want to move into their neighborhood. I just want to live."
Crescent Plastics Vice President, Ken Graves, says he believes the new contract is fair, but refuses to discuss details.
