An Evansville murder suspect is due back in court on Monday for the start of her trial.
On Thursday, a judge ruled statements made during one of Megan Mecum's previous hearings could not be used during her trial.
Officials say the statements were made when a plea agreement was on the table. Mecum's defense argued it should not be used against her.
Mecum is charged in the 2012 death of her estranged husband, Keith Vaughn.
There are two other suspects in the case.
In early November, Hubert Mayhugh was sentenced to 60 years in prison.
His cousin, James Mayhugh, has pleaded guilty. He is scheduled to be sentenced on December 30.
