Couple arrested on drugs charges at home near Cannelton

A Perry County couple was arrested Tuesday afternoon near Cannelton after troopers located a meth lab in their home. 

Law enforcement responded to the 8200 block of East State Road 166 around 1:00 p.m. to conduct a probation search of the home.

Indiana State Police say that when they met 29-year-old Michael Harrison and his wife, 31-year-old Bonnie Harrison, both of Cannelton. Through the course of their investigation, officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, paraphernalia, and multiple items commonly associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

After a search of the residence, authorities found an active clandestine lab in a trailer, as well as additional amounts of meth and other paraphernalia. 

Bonnie was additionally wanted on a probation warrant through Perry County.

Officers were on scene for nearly six hours while the scene was processed and the clandestine lab was disassembled. 

The Harrisons were arrested, without incident, and transported to the Perry County Jail.

Both are facing charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Precursors, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia. 

Troopers were assisted by the Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Section, the Perry County Sheriff's Department, and Perry County Probation.
