The Henderson County Tourist Commission came in first place for the second time for social media marketing.
They were awarded at the Kentucky Travel Industry Association Conference in Louisville.
The Henderson Tourist Commission says using social media gets residents and visitors more involved with what's going on in the community.
They also say social media is a free way to advertise events.
"We really love using it because it's a free tool and we find that its an easy way to start a conversation with people. They're a lot more open to ask questions and they feel a lot more open online sometimes, then maybe they do calling us," says Jessica Mitchell, with Henderson Tourism.
The tourist commission adds that they have to be consistent when it comes to posting events, or people won't follow.
They also say they get a lot of feedback from the community, making it a good way to improve events in the future.
