First flakes of the season expected overnight

The first flakes of the season are in the overnight forecast.

The biggest surprise will probably be the drop in temperatures. It is forecasted to be 30 degrees cooler with some gusty winds, but with the ground still warm, there's little chance of any snow accumulation.

Cars may get a light dusting of snow, but that's about it. There is not expected to be any problems for drivers heading out Tuesday morning.

Tuesday morning will be a good time to bundle up your kids as they head off to school.

If we do see some flakes overnight, it will be the earliest snowfall we've seen in four years.
