Local businesses offering veterans free meals, services

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

As part of honoring veterans, retailers, restaurants and small business across Connecticut are opening their doors and offering an array of free services.

Veterans and active military members just need to show a military ID or an Honorable Discharge card to be treated at the following locations:

  • Applebee's: Free Applebee's signature entree
  • California Pizza Kitchen: Free pizza
  • Chili's: Free entree all day long
  • Columbia Dental: Free dental X-rays, checkup and cleaning
  • Denny's: Free Grand Slam breakfast
  • Friendly's: Free Big-Two-Do breakfast and coffee until 11 a.m.
  • Hooter's: Free meal (up to $10.99) with any drink purchase
  • Olive Garden: Free meal, and family members also receive 10-percent off
  • On The Border: Free Create Your Own Combo meal
  • Outback Steak House: Free Bloomin' Onion and beverage
  • Red Robin: Free Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries
  • Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch
  • TGI Friday's: Free lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Walgreens: 15 percent off purchase (20 percent off Walgreens, Nice! and W brand products)
  • Several various locations offering a free car wash (view the full list here)
