There are new details on plans to boost security at the CK Newsome Community Center.
The building will be receiving a $23,000 security improvement in the coming year.
The Executive Director of Evansville's Department of Parks and Recreations, Denise Johnson, says the city plans on spending a total of $75,000 of the next three years to upgrade security at the Newsome Center.
She says the new security is needed and it will be beneficial to everyone who uses the center.
She says she hopes the new security measures will bring the CK Newsome Center in line with other buildings in the area.
