Feds take over case involving Henrico gang in fast-food heist

Federal prosecutors are now taking over a case of a local gang allegedly behind a string of fast-food restaurant robberies that span five jurisdictions.

Six members of the Henrico-based gang Fly Nation have been arrested in connection to the crimes, according to investigators.

From August 9 to September 26, Fly Nation allegedly hit ten fast-food restaurants including three in Chesterfield, four in Henrico and one each in Petersburg, Dinwiddie and New Kent.

The suspects include 19-year-old Shatik Jackson,  19-year-old Cornelius Clayton; 18-year-old London Cotman; 27-year-old Durrell Graves; 19-year-old Robert Booker; and an unnamed 16-year-old juvenile.

A federal grand jury indicted  Jackson, Cotman, and Clayton Jr. on November 5th, according to The New Kent-Charles City Chronicle.

The New Kent Commonwealth's Attorney tells the paper the county is dropping the charges against three of the adults accused in the Bottoms Bridge McDonald's robbery.

The Commonwealth's Attorney still plans to pursue charges against the unnamed juvenile, according to the paper.
