Ohio Valley 2-Way Radio is building a new cell site and say they recently signed a long term lease with AT&T. Ohio Valley 2-Way Radio says the new cell site on Highway 54 will let more people and businesses use cell service at the same time. Crews poured the concrete foundation two weeks ago for the equipment building. Over the weekend a crane installed the 70,000 pound building that will house the radio transmission and receiving equipment. The cell site will be placed half way up the tower which we're told is an ideal height for local coverage. Ohio Valley 2-Way Radio says the communication tower on Highway 54 already has a cell site for T-Mobile, Yellow Ambulance Service, and Daviess County Public Schools.
