A large section of Henderson remains under a boil order after a water main break on Sunday.

The area affected is north of Rettig Road and North and East of Highway 41 and the cloverleaf.

On Sunday, the school district was notified of a water main break at US 41 and Marywood Drive. The district made preparations all day Sunday to make sure students and staff would be able to go to school Monday.

A boil order was issued and will be in effect until Thursday, at the latest. Water bottles were available for students and staff if they needed them, and water was also boiled for food preparation.

"Any doubt we had, we wouldn't have sent our students and staff to school today, but we felt that we had everything in place yesterday," said Danielle Crafton with Henderson schools.

The school worked with the city, emergency management system, and their maintenance department to make sure everything was good to go Monday.

The water main has been fixed, but the boil order is still issued.
