Man facing arson charge after Orient house fire

FRANKLIN COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

A Franklin County man was jailed Sunday after a suspicious house fire this weekend in Orient, Illinois.

According to Sheriff Don Jones, Michael C. Lampley, 33, of Orient was charged with arson/real/personal property. . He was booked into the Franklin County Jail on $150,000 bond.

At 2:39 a.m. Saturday morning, fire fighters from West Frankfort, Zeigler and Benton along with Abbot EMS were called to the house fire at 504 Buchanan Street.

No injuries were reported.

The Illinois State Fire Marshal is investigating.
