Union Co. group needs your help to spread Christmas cheer to kids in Haiti

Posted: Updated:

In April, the group, Together for Christ, traveled to Haiti for mission work. They visited 5 villages and met over 800 young children, who immediately touched their hearts.

The team made a promise to the children that even though they would be returning home to the US they would not forget about them, and they would find ways to support them. They came up with the idea to start a Children Christmas Gift Program.

They will be sending shoe boxes filled with gifts to the kids in Haiti.

They are asking the community to help donate.

If you would like to donate here is what you need to know:

  • Pick up a shoe box from any of these locations: First Baptist Church, St. Ann School, Union County First Office (Located in the Courthouse) or by contacting Ashley Brown at (270) 952-3723.
  • Fill the shoe box with a variety of Christmas gifts for a young child.
  • Include a $10 donation in the envelope provided to help with the cost of getting the shoe box to Haiti.
  • Drop off on or before November 17th at any of the locations listed above or by contacting Ashley Brown.

Here are some gift suggestions provided by the program:
