A pair of young brothers served dinner Tuesday night to the entire Whitesville, Kentucky Volunteer Fire Department.

It was a big job, but Isaac and Ethan Carmon was glad to do it.

The 13-year-old and 10-year-old are 4-H members and their efforts are part of 4-H project aimed at teaching kids to serve those who serve them.

Together, the boys decided to show appreciation for the Whitesville Volunteer Firefighters.

"It feels good because they told me that nobody comes here often to appreciate what they do for us," Ethan told 14 News.

The Daviess County Cattleman's Association agreed to cater the meal with rib-eye sandwiches, chips and lemonade. The boys served the dinner at 6:00 Tuesday night at the fire hall, then presented a sponsorship check.

4-H clubs across Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia encouraged members to do appreciation projects during the month of October.
