A father and son are arrested after police say the father threatened the officer for arresting his son.

According to Evansville Police, 42-year-old Brady French was arrested and charged with intimidation after leaving a voicemail on Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke's phone. Police say the voicemail was directed at the EPD officer who arrested his 19 year old son early Saturday morning.

Police say the message included cursing, and a death threat saying, "The officer was as good as dead."

He's also accused of making a threatening call to a worker at the Vanderburgh County Jail.

Police say 19-year-old Austin French was arrested early Saturday morning for multiple drug related charges during a traffic stop.
