The Tumbleweed restaurant in Henderson is celebrating Grandpa Jones' 100th birthday by giving 10 percent of their proceeds to help fund a historic marker.

Henderson County officials want to put the marker at the birthplace of Grandpa Jones, who was the star of the TV show Hee Haw and a regular at the Grand Ole Opry.

"We have give backs throughout the year for those nonprofit organizations, people that help people out in the community. We like to help them out and they get the word out there to say, 'Hey come to Tumbleweed on Tuesday night, Sunday,' whichever day it is and they bring their coupon in," said Dan Schroader, the restaurants general manager.

This fundraiser will continue until 11:00 Sunday night. If you want to contribute, make sure you bring in that coupon or ask for it at the door.
