Default deadline approaching

There's little time left on the clock for Senate leaders to take their shot at saving the country from a possible default and ending the partial government shutdown. Aides say the leaders do have some optimism that they'll succeed and have something positive to announce today. The deadline for increasing the crucial deadline comes at midnight.

Muhlenberg death investigation

We expect to learn more today about a death investigation in Muhlenberg County. Police say they plan on releasing the victims' names after autopsies are performed in Madisonville. Kentucky State Police say a man and woman were found inside a home on highway 175 in Graham on Tuesday.

Kentucky State park discounts

Despite the government shutdown, state parks in Kentucky are open. They're also offering discounts to members of our armed forces. Emily Busby with the details.

Cardinals a win away.

The St. Louis Cardinals are now a win away from going to the World Series after beating the Dodgers last night in L.A.  We'll have the highlights, plus show you a power outage at the ALCS in Detroit.
