GIBSON CO., IN (WFIE) -

Despite rumors over the weekend in Gibson County, authorities say Rachel Burch is still missing.

The 47-year-old has been missing for a week now and there's new information that indicates Rachel may still be in contact with family members.

Sgt. Bruce Vanoven with the Gibson County Sheriff's Office says that on Monday they got an unconfirmed report that a family member has spoken with Rachel.

Authorities believe she may be with 47-year-old Douglas Charles and they may be in either a Gray 1992 Dodge Caravan or a White 2000 Olds Intrique.

Sgt. Vanoven tells 14 News that they did get some tips this weekend that Rachel may have been seen at the Princeton Walmart, but he says that those were not accurate.

"We received some Facebook messages about her possibly being at Walmart on Saturday. We contacted the managerial staff at the Walmart out here in Princeton and they stated that she had not been here," Sgt. Vanoven says.

Sgt. Vanoven did say that they've been checking local campgrounds because friends and family say she likes to camp.

He also says that they have not been able to locate Douglas either at this point. They did reach out to Douglas' family, but the family says they do not want to file a missing persons report.

The Gibson County Sheriff's Office asks that if you have any information about Rachel's whereabouts, that you call them as soon as possible.
