Posted: Updated:

The kiddie rides officially opened at the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival on Sunday.

Family Day began at 1:00 p.m., but even before then lots of families were down on Franklin Street.

Cheeseburgers, carousels, and chances to win were all available and all a big hit with the kids.

One mother told 14 News that she's been coming to the festival since she was young, but this is the first time her daughter is old enough to enjoy the rides.

"Oh yeah, everybody looks forward to it every year. You get to see new attractions like the one that's pretty much across the street from us right now. The parades are exciting. The kids get to have a lot of fun and it's well family organized events," mother Lisa Redmon said.

The rides for the kids are open until 7:00 Sunday night.
