Henderson County High School celebrated it's exceptional K-PREP scores on Friday with a special assembly on the football field.
All 2,000 of the school's students gathered on the field to form the school's initials 'HCHS'.
Meanwhile, a plane holding several photographers flew overhead to take an aerial photo of the students.
Henderson County Spokesperson Danielle Crofton says the high school's high scores earned them the state's distinguished recognition.
Crofton says they wanted to do something to commemorate that achievement.
"They scored 'distinguished' which is amazing and a large jump from last year in the scores," said Crofton. "We're just really celebrating and letting our students know how much it means to us and the community and the state, of their accomplishments."
Crofton also says the school handed out a T-shirt to every student marking the accomplishment.
