Confused about Obamacare? ECHO offering free, private consultations

The government may be shutdown, but October 1st is still the day the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare goes live.

But what does that mean for you?

Will you be paying more? Will you be paying less? How do you sign up?

If all this talk about Obamacare has got you scratching your head, ECHO Community Health Care may have something that will help.

ECHO will be offering free consultations at Evansville Vanderburgh Central Public Library.

These consultations are free and open to everyone.

They will be offered every Tuesday from 9 am until 8 pm and every Saturday 9 am to 2:30 pm from now through November 30th.

These are personal private consultations, not a seminar where you listen to a lecture.

The one on one sessions are with professionals who will walk you through how to sign up, or be available to answer any question you may have.

However, if you want to sign up right away, then you must bring the following with you to a consultation:

- Your Social Security Number (or document numbers for legal immigrants)

- Employer and income information for every member of your household (pay stubs, W-2 forms etc.)

- Policy numbers for any current health insurance plans you have

- Information about any health insurance you or someone in your household is eligible for.

They are accepting walk-ins.
