All clear given after bomb threat forces courthouse evacuation

SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Officials in Bullitt County have given the all clear after a bomb threat that cause the evacuation of the county courthouse and other nearby building Monday afternoon.

According to the Bullitt County Sheriff's Office, the threat was received around 1 p.m. Residents were asked to avoid the Courthouse, Bullitt Judicial Center, Mooney Annex building, First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville, Ridgway Memorial Library, and probation & parole offices.

A search of was conducted of the courthouse and government buildings. The evacuation was lifted around 4:30 p.m.

The manner in which the threat was received has not been released.
