Researchers digging again at Herrin Cemetery

Posted: Updated:
HERRIN, IL (KFVS) -

Researchers are back out at the Herrin City Cemetery in hopes of finding the graves of nearly two dozen union miners stabbed to death in 1922.

The digging is much more focused Monday. Crews were out there a week ago Friday and they say they uncovered some of the evidence they were looking for.

Rain postponed the second round of digging until Monday.
