Shots were fired at multiple locations in downtown Evansville Saturday night.

The Evansville Police Department says 19-year-old Tavion Ford is believed to be behind those shootings.

Police say Ford started firing on Morton Avenue, between Lincoln and Bellemeade, around 9:30 Saturday night. Police say he then drove to Jeanette Benton Drive where he fled from police in his truck.

Police say Ford led them on a chase before crashing near Washington and Governor. He was taken to St. Mary's for treatment and then taken into custody.

EPD Sergeant Lonnie Rahm says multiple shots were fired, but no one was injured.

"We have one place where there was probably five shell casings on the ground. We have another place where there were several shell casings on the ground. We have a truck that was struck four or five times," Sgt. Rahm said.

Rahm says a revolver was found inside Ford's truck.
