All eyes were on the skies in Owensboro on Saturday for the second annual air show on the Owensboro riverfront.
We're told over 10,000 attended last year and organizers expected an even larger number this year.
The air show started off on a high note with skydivers and stunt-planes.
Friday night's show was cancelled due to the weather, but that certainly wasn't a problem on Saturday. There were even more acts performing in the show this year than last.
The Owensboro Mayor Ron Payne told 14 News, along with the new riverfront, the reason so many people turned out for the event.
"Right behind us is the new convention center that's going to open up soon, the new hotel over there, the new Blue Grass Music Center. So just stand by, there's a lot more to come in the city of Owensboro," Mayor Payne said.
The mayor said the air show was a great opportunity for the City of Owensboro to showcase all of its new developments.
