Doctors at Huntsville Pediatric Associates say they've seen about 40 to 50 kids with the same symptoms this past week.
The symptoms are like a common cold associated with problems breathing and a barky cough.
It's called croup.
Croup is usually caused by a virus and affects children 6 months to 3-years-old, much like the common cold.
There's no prescription for treatment, but if the case is severe enough, doctors will give oral steroids.
Doctors say the barky cough usually goes away on it's own within two to three days, and the cold symptoms usually go away within a week.
