A University of Evansville student is hoping his passion for helping others will inspire others to dream big too.
He's a featured speaker on Campus on Friday as part of the University's first ever innovation week.
Tyler White is a senior at UE studying creative writing and international studies.
When it comes to that topic, he already has quite a bit of real life experience.
"The number one answer for, 'What do you want to be when you grow up,' is, 'I want to be a footballer,'" said White.
That's what he found out on his trip to Uganda. Football there, is soccer in the U.S.
"We watched the kids play on this really dangerous field," said White. "The kids were out there playing in their bare feet."
He wanted to change that, so he helped create Fields of Dreams. The organization builds soccer fields at orphanages and provides kids with school supplies.
So far, they've served close to 1,000 children.
"We believe in the power of their dreams and we believe in the potential of those children and we know that we can lift this generation up and that they can lead their country into a brighter future," said White.
