Highway 136 has been reopened after a car overturned and caught fire in Henderson County.

Crews shut down the roadway around 8:00 p.m. near Geneva Baptist Church. Authorities said bystanders rescued the driver from the burning car after it ran off the road and hit a culvert.

A medical helicopter flew the patient to an Evansville hospital with serious injuries.

The accident shutdown the roadway for more than an hour.
