LST 325 makes stop in Owensboro

OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

The LST 325 is almost back home in Evansville after a three week hiatus.

The vessel 325 will be floating and docking into Owensboro Wednesday in route to Evansville, after beginning a trip from West Virginia.

The LST 325 will have an extended stay in the waters of the Ohio River at English Park from Thursday until Sunday.

The LST 325 will be open for tours from 9 in the morning until 5 at night.

Tours of the ship are self-guided, with volunteers stationed throughout the ship.

Officials say tours are about 45 minutes long on this fully operational ship.

Officials also recommend no high heels, wear comfortable shoes as you will be climbing through the ship's levels

The ships arrival comes just in time for the air show scheduled to begin in Downtown Owensboro this weekend.
