A man involved in an accident in Evansville Thursday night has been arrested on drunk driving charges.

Officials say 46-year-old Michael Joseph Summers had a blood alcohol content over .15 percent, almost double the legal limit.

Witnesses say Summers ran two red traffic lights before wrecking at the intersection of Garvin and Washington.

Officers on scene says there were two heavily damaged vehicles along with a light pole.

It happened just after 7 p.m.

There were two injuries and both people were taken to Deaconess Hospital.

Summers is being charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
