OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

The Daviess County Sheriff's Office responded to Town and Country Mobile Home Park early Thursday morning after a report of a fight at one of the homes.

It happened just before 3 a.m. at 418 Reid Road.

When they arrived on scene, deputies say they found a 46-year-old man, stabbed with a kitchen carving knife.

The Sheriff's Office says they arrested 35-year-old Jamie Douglas, of Owensboro, on a 2nd degree assault charge.

Authorities say during an argument in the kitchen of the home, Douglas had armed herself with a knife and attacked the man, stabbing him in the hip. Deputies say the man also received a cut on his left hand during the struggle.

Douglas was taken to the Daviess County Detention Center.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Owensboro Regional Hospital.
