One of the men accused in the Ira Beumer home invasion trial is asking for a change of venue due to extensive pretrial media.

Jeton Hall's attorney Glenn Grampp filed the motion on Wednesday in Vanderburgh Circuit Court.

23-year-old Hall is charged with burglary resulting in bodily injury, criminal confinement and theft in a home invasion.

The case has received a lot of attention because the victim of the home invasion, Evansville businessman Ira Beumer, is charged with murder. Beumer is accused of ramming his truck into the car full of men he believed just burglarized his house.

One of the suspects died in the crash. Hall was injured.

Judge David Kiely approved delaying the trial until December 9.
