An Evansville Animal Control officer is recovering from several dog bites after he says he was attacked at a home on Spring Park Drive Tuesday evening.

Police say Officer Anthony Ray Crothers had gone to the home in reference to a dog bit.  When he knocked on the door, the resident's two dogs came outside and attacked him.

The officer wound up going to the emergency room at Deaconess after being bitten several times by both dogs including a sensitive area of the body.
