Two Tri-State men fatally injured doing tree trimming work

Two Tri-State men are fatally injured while trimming trees over the weekend.

According the Vanderburgh County Coroner's Office, 41-year-old Jack Parsons, of Evansville, was tree trimming Saturday afternoon when falling debris struck him causing a fatally head injury.

Parsons was taken to Deaconess where he later died.

Another Tri-State man Robert Butler, of Utica, KY, also fatally hurt while tree trimming Sunday afternoon in McLean County.

Officials say while Butler was doing work for Watts Brothers Cable Company, out of Owensboro, he also received a fatal head injury when he was struck by falling debris.

Butler was taken to St. Mary's where he later died from his injuries.
