Indiana State Police said troopers responded to the single vehicle crash on SR 66 near Winterheimer Road around 2:20 a.m. Saturday morning

Troopers said 19-year-old Alex Goeble, of Evansville, was driving his SUV east on SR 66 just east of Winternheimer Road when for unknown reasons left the roadway on the north side and hit a tree.

State police said Goebel was trapped inside his vehicle and had to be extricated.
