The Owensboro Police Department and Public Schools are getting the kids out of the classroom to teach them about law enforcement.
Fourth grade students at Estes Elementary School learned about sportsmanship, team work, and respect through a kickball exercise Tuesday afternoon.
Police say after the school course is about having the students hangout and learn from police officers.
"We do different things with them and have them just out of school, out of the classroom and we want to hangout with them and see us out of our traditional uniforms and talk to them for a little bit, and play games with them," said Sean Schlachter.
The next session will teach students about finger prints and evidence collecting.
