LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The medical examiner in Birmingham, Alabama has ruled out a pilot medical problem as the cause of the UPS plane crash that occurred last month.
The Jefferson County, AL coroner reported that the two pilots on board the plane were killed by blunt force trauma suffered during the crash.
The Airbus A-300 crashed in an open field near the Birmingham airport on August 14.
A preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board found that there were no signs of engine failure or fire aboard the jet. The two pilots did not report any trouble prior to the crash.
The NTSB is continuing its into what caused the plane's crash.
