Posted: Updated:

Two people are flown to the hospital after an early morning crash.

It happened Tuesday, just after one on Newton Street in Jasper.

Officers say 23-year-old John Goller was driving north on Matthew Avenue at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the car, left the road and overturned.

Police say Goller had a blood alcohol level of nearly double the legal limit.

Both Goller and his passenger, 29-year-old James Abel, were taken by medical helicopter to St. Mary's.

Goller is charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

No word on their conditions.
