SPENCER CO., IN (WFIE) -

The new traffic signal is now activated at a dangerous Spencer County intersection.

The light is located at State Road 66 and Orchard Road, right in front of South Spencer High School.

INDOT officials say the signal will be in place until a roundabout is built.

The change comes after the public pushed for a traffic light to be installed there after 18-year-old Jacob Hamilton was killed in an accident at the intersection.
