Two men arrested after drug bust near school in Oakland City

Two men are in jail after a drug bust in Oakland City.

It happened around 11 a.m. Monday at 328 West Dale Street near Wood Memorial High School.

Authorities say they found one active one pot meth lab, remnants of meth and marijuana, and ingredients used to make meth.

Two men were arrested, 45-year-old Eddie Don Alka and 60-year-old James Norrick. They were taken to the Gibson County Jail where they are currently being held without bond. 

Alka and Norrick are multiple charges including manufacturing methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school.

• James R. Norrick, 60, 328 West Dale, Oakland City, IN 
1. Manufacturing Meth within 1,000 feet of a School, Class A Felony 
2. Possession of Meth within 1,000 feet of a School, Class B Felony 
3. Possession of Precursors, Class D Felony 
4. Possession of Marijuana, Class D Felony 
5. Dumping Controlled Substance Waste, Class D Felony 
6. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor
