The Evansville Otters hit a home run off the field on Thursday.
They visited children at St. Mary's Medical Center.
The players went from room to room passing out baseballs and Otters tickets.
Evan the Otter was there bringing smiles to the young patients.
For the players, it was a chance to give back to the community and the fans.
"It's heartbreaking," said Joe Solomeno. "It's tough because you're out there playing ball and they're in here. It's definitely tough to watch, but just to make them smile is a good experience for me."
Friday night, the Otters play at Bosse Field.
As part of the "Celebrate Safety" event, St. Mary's Life Flight will land on the field to deliver the game ball.
The first 500 children will receive free bicycle helmets.
