The Henderson County Water District is proposing a rate increase.
They haven't had an increase since 2007.
The Water District requested an 8% increase which means a dollar increase for every $2,000 gallons used.
They are asking for the increase to help fund current and future project.
"For us to be able to keep serving our customers, we've got to," Pete Conrad said. "We can't run in the red."
The increase will affect Henderson County, outside of the city of Henderson, as well as parts of Webster County.
If you are concerned with the rate increase, you are encouraged to contact the Henderson Water District at (270)-826-9802.
