Man accused of dragging dog behind vehicle, fighting dogs

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Evidence of dog fighting was found after a tip to police that a dog was

The alleged incident happened Tuesday night in the 1400 block of Hemlock Street near Algonquin Park.

Police said they found a wounded, bloodied dog with bite marks on it.

In front of a nearby home, officers found a trail of what they believe to be dog blood leading to the front door.

While there at the home, officers said two other dogs began fighting. Then, while searching the home, officers seized six dogs, a small baggie of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and what they described as items commonly used in dog fighting.

Daniel Forbes, 28, of Louisville, is charged with possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and first-degree cruelty to animals.
