The Daviess County Emergency Management Agency recently developed an emergency response plan for the Daviess County Court House.
It's all part of their on going effort to keep people safe during emergency situations.
"The specifics of the plan identify agencies and responsibilities those agencies have. It also defines levels of emergencies," said John Clouse, Daviess County Emergency Management Deputy Director.
The Daviess County Emergency Management says the plan has guidelines that will help the county deal with minor emergencies in the court house like a power outage in parts of the building to more severe emergencies like severe weather.
The EMA says emergencies at the court house will be handled in an efficient and effective manor.
"We want to make sure everyone has a clear understanding of what they are suppose to do at any given event at the court house," said Clouse.
The Daviess County Fiscal Court plans to approve the plan at their meeting Thursday night. The EMA says they are currently developing an emergency response plan for the county's operational facility on Highway 81.
