Deaconess Women's Hospital named "Best Place to Work" 4th year in a row

Posted: Updated:

Modern Healthcare Magazine announced its Best Places To Work listing this week and The Women's Hospital once again made the list.

Modern Healthcare and The Studer Group co-sponsor this recognition program as a way to honor workplaces throughout the healthcare industry that empower employees to perform at their optimum level and provide patients and customers with the best possible care, products, and services.

This is the sixth year the list has been compiled and the fourth year for Deaconess Women's Hospital to be included. They are also the only Indiana healthcare facility on the list.

"This award is always an honor," says Christina M. Ryan, CEO of The Women's Hospital. "Historically, more than 300 hospitals and healthcare facilities have applied for the award in any given year. The application is followed by a detailed employee satisfaction survey sent to a random selection of team members. Knowing that we've received this award based on a result of what our employees think is humbling to me. When we achieve high scores and consistently receive awards for patient satisfaction, it is a direct display of the correlation between employee satisfaction and patient satisfaction."

A comprehensive list of Best Places to Work award recipients is available on Modern Healthcare's site (www.modernhealthcare.com).

The ranked order will be revealed at the Best Places to Work in Healthcare Awards Banquet to be held in Atlanta on October 24, 2013.

The Women's Hospital currently ranks second in the nation.
