The ALS Association is hosting an event, "ALS Association: Improving Access to Support Services & Care Strategies for Health Agencies" on Tuesday.
The event is from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in the Deaconess Physician Center, room 350 on the Deaconess Hospital campus.
The program will include topics such as: ‘Lou Gehrig's Disease 101—the basics of ALS'; a summary of services available in the Tri-State; and networking opportunities with other attendees.

The second ALS Association event is a kick-off event for the 2013 Walk to Defeat ALS.
The walk kick-off takes place on Tuesday, August 20 at 6:00 p.m. in the Deaconess Physician Center, room 350 on the Deaconess Hospital campus.
Attendees are invited to wear a favorite superhero costume.
