Condition of boy hit by car while skateboarding improving

A 12-year-old Evansville boy has been upgraded to fair condition after he was hit by a car while riding his skateboard on the Lloyd Expressway last week.

Police say Harry Rodriguez was riding his skateboard the wrong-way on the Lloyd Expressway around 1:00 in the morning on Wednesday. That's when he was hit by a car at Burkhardt.

Police say the driver of that car did not see the boy and has not been charged.
