Kentucky Senator Rand Paul will be in Western Kentucky on Thursday to discuss coal and other hot topics for the bluegrass state.
With political races just out of the starting gate in Kentucky, issues like education, gun control, jobs, and energy will be on the agenda as Senator Paul will be speaking in Madisonville today.
Paul will be addressing the Madisonville-Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce at Baptist Health Madisonville.
Officials say the future of coal, the possibilities of renewable energy, and growth of the economy involving industrial hemp are on the agenda.
This is the first of two stops in the Tri-State scheduled for Thursday, as Senator Paul will also hold a meet and greet in Greenville around 4 in the afternoon.
