Emergency crews respond to the scene of a barn fire in Posey County.

Authorities say it broke out around 5:30 Thursday morning at 1661 Lee Road, between New Harmony and Griffin.

Several fire crews responded to the scene including: New Harmony, Wadesville, Black Township, Marrs Township, Poseyville and Griffin.

Officials say there was house close to the barn and firefighters say it received minor damage, but they were able to contain the fire mostly to the barn.

Firefighters say it took them about 30 minutes to put out the fire.

Authorities say no one was hurt in the fire and no animals were in the barn at the time of the fire.  

Officials say some equipment that was in the barn did receive some damage. 

No word yet on what caused the fire.
