The trial of a man accused in a Vanderburgh County home invasion is expected to begin on Monday.

The Vanderburgh County Prosecutor's Office says Nalakeio Bennett rejected a plea deal on Wednesday.

Bennett is one of four men charged in the incident that happened last year on Big Cynthiana Road.

The homeowner, Ira Beumer, is charged in this case as well. He's accused of murder after deputies say he chased the suspects in his truck and crashed into their car.

One of the suspects, Antuan Jenkins, died.

Bennett faces charges of burglary resulting in bodily injury, criminal confinement and theft.
